Power Battery Safety Attributes Maxed Out! EXEED EXLANTIX ET Kicks Off Super Safety Challenge

Vehicle safety is the foundation and most crucial prerequisite for all its additional attributes, such as luxury, technology, and comfort. On October 17, EXEED held the "Super Guardian Experience Tour" event as part of the 2024 EXEED Global User Summit, aiming to test the battery safety performance of the smart technology luxury SUV model EXEED EXLANTIX ET through a series of safety tests that far exceed international standards. During the summit, EXEED also showcased derivative ecological products of this model, striving to create a luxurious ecosystem.


Full-Scenario Battery Safety Development to Ensure Battery Safety

From the very beginning of designing the ET, EXEED considered various usage scenarios and carried out full-scenario battery safety development accordingly. The ET has undergone comprehensive safety verification tests from six dimensions: charging safety, electromagnetic safety, functional safety, high-voltage safety, battery safety, and fire safety. Simultaneously, the ET has become the first new energy SUV model to pass the "NESTA Six-Dimensional Electrical Safety" technical verification. This all-round safety consideration ensures that the vehicle can provide the highest level of protection under any circumstances.


 

In terms of testing the battery's waterproof performance, the ET's battery system underwent a 24-hour submersion test after 36 hours of comprehensive vibration working conditions, far exceeding the national standard by 48 times and reaching the IP68 waterproof level. This rigorous test simulates extreme conditions such as urban waterlogging, ensuring the safety and reliability of the battery system in a submerged environment.


 

Through the development of 30+ bottom protection scenarios, the ET employs 1,300 MPa hot-formed steel at the bottom of the battery pack, which has passed the equivalent of 800,000 deceleration belt vibration tests, with mechanical impact exceeding the national standard by 50 times, successfully passing the bottom support protection verification of the battery system. This robust protective design safeguards the integrity of the battery when subjected to bottom impacts, thereby enhancing the vehicle's durability and safety.

In the collision safety test, the ET adopts a 0.002-second collision high-speed high-voltage cutoff technology, ensuring that the high-voltage power supply can be quickly cut off in the event of a collision to prevent secondary injuries. This rapid response mechanism reflects EXEED's high emphasis on user safety and precise control over technical details.


 

"1+8+1" Battery High Safety System Creates a "Super Intelligent" Peace-of-Mind Experience

The ET's global 5-star safety "1+8+1" battery comprehensive safety system, built with leading technology, features 1 representing ultimate battery cell safety, 8 representing super waterproof double protection, extreme heat resistance double protection, super impact resistance double protection, and ultimate high-voltage safety double protection, and the 1 at the end represents a big data monitoring and full-time early warning platform.

Based on the pursuit of ultimate battery cell safety, the ET's battery system places an aerogel thermal insulation pad between each battery cell and arranges mica sheets on top of the cells. Through simulation analysis, a scientific exhaust path and active cooling system are designed to prevent thermal runaway and thermal propagation of the battery pack.


 

Simultaneously, the ET's ultimate safety "8-fold protection measures" ensure the stability and reliability of its battery system under various extreme conditions from multiple aspects, including hardware facilities, safety protection, and electrical safety, providing users with multiple layers of safety assurance.


 

EXEED deeply understands that preemptively resolving safety issues and achieving zero accidents are the development direction of battery safety. The big data monitoring and full-time early warning platform equipped in the ET can conduct 24/7 real-time monitoring of the battery state, intelligently analyze potential safety issues, and provide timely warnings, further enhancing the safety of the battery and adding another layer of "highly intelligent" protection for users' driving safety.
